以前的老师是什么都敢／能说，学生做什么都得三思。
现在的老是什么都得三思，学生做什么都可以。
世界真是变了样。 Kids are too emotionally pampered by parents these days. When you say the kids in a nice tone, they think you're funny and keep laughing at your advice. When you tell them the same thing in a stern tone, they think you're hurting their feelings. It's really difficult to educate children these days.

Very true. Kids nowadays are too pampered by their parents. We have to think twice before we talk to them.
